Attack at Atatürk International Airport

The Atatürk Airport attack was an armed and bombed suicide attack at Atatürk Airport in Bakırköy district of İstanbul at 21.22 local time on 28 June 2016. 45 people lost their lives and 239 people were injured in there. According to Turkish officials, attackers were belonged to DAESH, however, no organization took responsibility for the attack. After the attack, Atatürk Airport was closed and all flights were blocked. Thus, the planes could not land in here so the planes were directed to other airports, such as Sabiha Gokcen Airport and airports in other cities.
